Carlos López was transferred back to the Presidio of Guadalupe del Paso, where he married María González de Apodaca, resident of Ysleta del Paso, on December 13, 1698. Both came back eventually to Santa Fe, where she died in 1712; Carlos then married Juana de Cedillo, on January 12, 1716. He was thirty-five at the time. Carlos and his brother Juan were claiming certain lands at Pojoaque in this same year. While living in the country north of Santa Fe with his first wife, they had at least three girls after the turn of the century: Nicolasa, 10 Aug 1704; Gregoria Paula, 20 Jan 1707; and Lorenza Gertrudis,17 Aug 1709. Carlos was dead by 1736 when his widow, Juana Cedillo, was mentioned as the wife of Captain Francisco García.

7 Sep 1703, Santa Fé. Luis López of Pojoaque, sued by wife Ana Bernal de Cabrera for amltreatment in connection with his brother Juan López. Luis López and his brothers Juan & Carlos López are the sons of Ana Luján (50). Also mentioned are Juan de Ribera, Ana's uncle, and his wife María Garía (23). Cristobal de Gongora is given as Ana's attorney, and others mentioned in testimonies are Juan de Apodaca and daughter María Apodaca, both relatives of Luis López.
