While it isn't certain that Griffin Warenne's wife was Maud le Strange, the le Strange line has merit. There is some question about the wives given in The History of the Warren Family, pp. 29-30

Maud married Griffin Warenne, son of John Warenne and Unknown.¹⁴⁹¹ (Griffin Warenne was born in Ightfield, Shropshire, England and died in Ightfield, Shropshire, England.)
