The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 108, p. 243, Benjamin, son of Matthias Farnsworth and Mary Farr, was born about 1653 or perhaps better in 1667. He died 15 Aug 1733 and married, in 1695, Mary Prescott, born in Lancaster, Massachusetts 3 Feb 1647 and died 28 Oct 1735, the daughter of Jonas Prescott and Mary Loker. 102

Benjamin Farnsworth married, 1695, Mary Prescott, b. Feb 1674 in Lancaster, Massachusets. She was the daughter of Johans Prescott and Mary Loker. Mary died 28 Oct. 1735.
Benjamin Farnsworth held several town offices and was Selectman, but he appears to have been less a leader and adviser of men than his brother John. He and his wife were church memebers and their children were all baptized. Some time in the latter part of his life, his health & mind were impaired, and this his wife was appointed guardian for the necessary care of his estate. Their children, all born in Broton, Massachusetts were:
