Francisco Lorenzo de Casados, a widower already in 1704, was a native of Cádiz in Spain, where he had known Juan Páez Hurtado. By 1716 he was a Captain, when he stated that he was forty-six years old and married. But it is not known who his first and second wives were. He was a member of the Confraternity of St. Michael which restored the ancient chapel of San Miguel in 1710. He had a son, Francisco José.
