Santiago, son of Antonio Durán y Chávez and Antonia baca was born in 1733. He married María Luisa Páez, daughter of Ramon Páez and Manuela Velarde, at Guadalupe del Paso in 1761, and brought her back home. His mother and brother Juan Antonio were sponsors for a child of theirs in 1768.
