Conrad, son of Conrad, comté de Paris, was given the title of comté d'Auxerre in 859 for his help to Charles II "le Chauve" King of the West Franks. He was Marquis of Transjurania, which later evolved into the Kingdom of Burgundy. He was the father of Rudolf I, King of Upper Burgundy and Adelais who married Richard comté d'Autun.
