Lorenzo Rodríguez, a soldier of Guadalupe del Paso and native of Zacatecas, was twenty years old in 1697. He married Teresa García (López Olguín), born in the Río Abajo of unknown parentage. His own parents were Nicolás Rodríguez and Ángela Ortega, both deceased.

In 1712 he purchased land in Santa Fe. Their daughter Ana married José Mares in Santa Fe in 1716.
