Pagan Peverel had a great Fief in Cambridgeshire by Grant of Henry I. He was Founder of the Barnwell Priory, and the Chartulary of that House printed in the Monasticon [vol. vi, p. 86] contains a document of very general truthfulness and which professes to give account of his descendants.
