The next in line is Robrt de Strickland married to Geatrice de Cotesford, whose second husband was Robert de Wethered. 888

Adam of Castle Carrock
, is likely the son of Eustace de Vaux. Adam was a common name used in the Vaux family. Adam de Castle Carrock, was the father of Walter de Castle Carrock, who was in turn father of Richard Strickland. The Strickland arms closely resemble the arms borne by the Daces of Gilsland, and the Vauxes' heir-general.
