Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Fernando de Navarra rey de Castilla was the sonof Sancho III "el Mayor" King of Navarre and Munia Mayor condessa de Castilla. Fernando battled with and killed members of his family in order to bring their realms under his control. This land was later divided between his own sons. Fernando married Sancha de León daughter of Alfonso V rey de León and his first wife Elvira Menéndez.
