Olive Harmon was the heiress of her father, James Harman. She died in 1603, aged fifty-five. Her father James Harman, was the brother of Edward Harman of Burford, Oxfordshire.
Her epitaph in the church of Elstree, had inscriptions in English, Frence and Latin. She is praised in thirty lines of poetry that begin:
"Behold and known how heaven is repossest
Of her sweet soul.
