Margaret, Countess of Hainaut and Flanders was the daughter of Baldwin VI, Count of Hainaut and Flanders and his wife Marie of Champagne. Margaret married Bouchard d'Avenes, Archdeacon of Laon and Canon of St. Pierre de Lille. They were the parents of John I d'Avenes.
