About 1170, Ingelram de Dumart granted to his nephew, Robert Duredent, a messuage in Faxton which belonged to Walter de Balliol, his uncle. Ingelram de Dumart died in 1185, and the son of his sister Emma, Egelin de Dumart, conveyed in 1201/02, Faxton and land in Northumberland & Warwickshire to his nephew Thomas de Periton. Thomas de Periton succeeded his uncle, Egelin de Dumart, in 1219, and then died in 1227, leaving his son Adam.
