~George Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol II, p. 598, Beatrix was the daughter of Robert de Montalt, Seneschal of the earl of Chester. She had a child with Sir William de Malpas, named Sir David de Malpas, and this David was considered, by Ormerod, to be an intruder into his father's moiety of Malpas.

On this page, Ormerod has her as the daughter of Roger de Monte Alto a.k.a. Roger Montalt, a brother of Robert de Montalt. Roger is also the Seneschal on this pedigree for the Barons of Montalt. 713
