There is conflicting information between the names of both individuals parents in Roots Ltd., Diligencias Matrimoniales, vol. 4, p. 328 ²⁴⁸ and Matrimonios de Immaculate Concepcón de Tomé y Nuestra Señora de Belén, p. 59 ⁴⁶

In the Diligencias, Mariano is called the "natural son of Mónica Chaves," Rosa María is given as the daughter of Joaquín Gallego and María Antonia Candelaria, and the date is 8 Sep 1814.

The Diligencias, dated 1 Jul 1814 names Mariano's parents as Mariano Chaves and Ana Lucero, Rosa María's parents are give as José of Filipe Gallegos and María Saiz.

Only one of their children gives their grandparents. In Baptisms, Nuestra Señora de Immaculada Concepción de Tomé, Vol. I, on page 229 ²⁶⁶ for José Ygnacio Chóávez:
