Sir John de Hellesby, knight, son of Joceralin', lord of Hellesby, knight, and heir to his brother Adam. He is Identical to John le Sarjaunt, and first known bearer of the Arms of Hellesby Sir John married Leuca, daughter a Arden or a Mobberley.

The children of Leuca and Sir John were:
• Ricahrd de Hellesby, a.k.a. Richard de Acton, lord of Hellesby, m. Alice, daughter of Sir Ranulph de Thorneton.
• Piers de Hellesby, father of another Richard de Hellesby
• John le Sarjaunt, of Frodesham, and hereditary constable of the castle and gaol. Father of Walter de Hellesby, recorded in 28 &29 Edward I.
• Richard de Hellesy, brother of the first above Richard de Hellesby.
