Leon, son of Basileios I and his second wife Evdokia Ingerina. Leon succeeded his father in 886 as Emperor Leon VI "the Wise." Leon was a man of letters who wrote poetry and 60 volumes of new legal codes. Leon's first wife was Theofano, daughter of Konstantinos Martiniakos. His second wife was Zoe Zautzina, widow of Theodoros Gouniatzizes and the daughter of Stylianos Zauztes. His second wife was the mother of his daughter Anna.


Leon married Zoe Tzautzina 160.,1003 (Zoe Tzautzina died 901-early 904 1003.)
