• Background Information. ⁷¹³ Elizabeth, who married Sir Piers, son of Edmund de Dutton and brother and heir of Sir Lawrence de Dutton, Sir Piers fought at Shrewsbury under the banner of Hotspur, and was afterwards pardoned for it. He was made keeper of Northwood park in 1423 and died in 1433 at age 66.

(According to George Ormerod's History of Chester, Elizabeth, the wife of Sir Piers Dutton was the daughter of Sir John le Boteler rather than his sister.)
