Mateo's wife was María de Tapia, widow of Alonso Romero, by whom he had a daughter, Juana, married to Pedro Montes Vigil. There were also two sons: Francisco, father of José and Maríano Trujillo, who made his last will in 1754; and Agustín, father of Manuela, Manuel, and Antonio Trujillo.
