Snorre names Gudröd as the son of Björn & his wife, recording in a later passage that he was brought up by his paternal uncle Olav after his father was killed [Snorre, Harald Harfager's Saga, 38 and 44.]. He was murdered by King Harald II [Snorre, Saga of King Harald Grafeld and of Earl Haakon son of Sigurd, 10]. He is known to have married a woman named Cecilia, although the primary souce has confirms this has yet to be found.
