• Background Information. 726 Adam de Brus, Lord of Skelton, died at the battle of the Standard along with his father, on 11 May 1162. He was buried at Gisbrough. He was married to Ivetta, daughter of Willaim de Arches, and widow of R. de Flamvill, and had Isabel who married Henry de Percy, who, by said marriage, acquired the manor of Lonkinfield, Yorkshire.
