Manfredo Udalrico was the son of Manfredo, Marchese of Turin and Prangarda di Canossa. This is confimed by a charter dated 1029. He succeeded his father in 1000 as Manfredo Adalrico, Marchese de Susa and Turin. He married Berta, daughter of Marchese Oberto. They were the parents of Adelaida di Susa who married, first, Hermann IV, Duke of Swabia and second, Oddon de Maurieen son of Humbert comté de Maurienne and his second wife Auxilia; an unnamed son; Irmgard di susa who married, first, Otto Von Schweinfurt, and married second. Ekbert I Graf von Braunschweig; and Berta di Sus who married Oddone di Savona, Marchese della Liguria Occidentale.
