~Ormerod's History of the County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol. II, p. 643, Ormerod doesn't offer a pedigree for the Bickerton Family, but he mentions "By Inq.p.m. 4 Hen. IV. (1402) Hugo de Bykerton obit seistus in dnico suo ut de feodo de uno mesuagio & xij acr' t're cum ptin in Bykerton, val. p. a. xxs." This is possibly Hugh, father of Katherine, wife of David Malpas of Bickerton.
Hugh is mentioned on the Malpas of Hampton & Bickly Pedigree in vol. II, p. 641, as the father of Katherine, wife of David Malpas. 713
