Ida is named in the Annalista Saxo as "soror Gocelonis su Godefridi ducis," or the sister, of Godfrey, Duke of Lorraine. Her marriage is given in Orderic Vitalis where she is also called the sister of "Godfrey Duke (III) of Lotharingia" [Oderic Vitalis, Vol. V, Book IX, p. 175] as well as naming her three sons. She made a donation to Saint-Bertin for the sour of "Eustachii domini mei comitis" with her son "Godefridi et Balduini." Her death is recorded as "Id Apr 1113" of "Ida comitissa Bolonić"[ Lamberti Audomariensis Chronica 1113, Catalogus Regum Langobardorum et Imperatorum, MGH SS V, p. 65]. She was the second wife of Eustache, Comté de Boulogne, son of Eustache, Comté de Boulogne and his wife Mathide de Louvaine.
