Cokayne's Complete Peerage (Stafford) p.172, states that Nicholas' wife was "a daughter of Geoffrey de Langley (d. 1274).

Alianore married Nicholas Baron of Stafford, son of Robert de Stafford and Alice Corbet. (Nicholas Baron of Stafford was born about 1246 in Stafford, England, died on 1 Aug 1287 in Siege of Droselan Castle ¹⁶⁷ and was buried in Stone, Staffordshire, England ¹⁶⁵.)
