From the Memorials of the Bagot Family, pp. 11-12:

In the time of Edward the Confessor (vide Domes: Book) Blithfield was the inheritance of one Eadmund, but was at the Conquest given to Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel and Shrewsbury. It was held under him by one Heremannus, who was succeeded by his son William. This William had three sons: Amalric, ethe eldest, was lord of Hulcrombe (now Hill Crombe) in Worcestershire; John, the second son received from his father this manor of Blithfield; and thereupon took the surname of Blithfield; and the third son was Alfredus, a priest of Hulcrombe, and who lies buried under an arch in the wall on the outside of the Chancel of Blithfield Church.

To John, succeeded Henry, who married Margeria (as appears by a Blithfield Deed and in the Chancel windows at Blithfield) and by her he had a son James who died 19 Henry III and a daughter Margery. James had three sons, and one daughter. His eldest son, Richard, who succeeded him, married the daughter of "Robert Vernay de Bromshelf," by whom he had one son and two daughters. His son Richard succeeded him as Lord of Blithfield about 4 Edward II. This Richard's eldest son, Henry, died in his life time, but he had a second son Richard, who married Catherine de Baliden (who outlived him), and by her he had Elizabeth, and only daughter and heir, who married Ralph Bagot, Knight of Bagot's Bromley.

Richard married Catherine de Baliden.1051
