John Fairbanke was born in 1489 and died in 1551. In 1504 (19 Henry VII), and 1506 (22 Henry VII), land tansfers names John as the son of William. John married Margaret and they were the parents of Gilbert.

"1504, 19th Henry VII, Edmund Fairbanke surrendered one rood of land with the buildings thereon, lately taken from the waste, in Soureby, to the use of John Fairebanke son of William Fairbanke, and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten."
"1506, 22nd Henry VII, William surrendered all his estate and term of years not yet elapsed which he held in 17 a. of land and meadow called Brigbothame, and one croft called Pigilcroft in Soarbie to the use of John Faerbaink, son of said William and his assigns during the term."
