Robert and Herleve were the parents of William the Conqueror (natural son). Robert I and his mistress Herleve had a daughter Adelis who married, first, Emguerrand II, Count of Ponthieu; second Lambert of Boulougne, and third, Eudes, Count of Champagne. ¹⁶⁰
