Walter de Clifford, the eldest son and heir, succeeded his father in his lands and honors, and married Margaret, daughter of Llewelyn, Prince of Wales, and the widow of John de Braose. Walter and Margaret had a daughter, Maud, who married William de Longespée, third Earl of Salisbury, descended from King Henry II by Roasamond Clifford. Walter died in 48 Henry III.
