Philip I of France had made Gui de Montlhéry le Rouge, comté de Rochefort, his senescal. Philip retained Gui for this office beacause he wasnted to have the use of the tower of Montlhéry, the Castle of Rochefort and Castle of Châteaufort. Philip also consented to marry Gui's daughter (Lucienne), who wasn't yet at an age to marry.
