Dear Louise and Robert:

Juliane, wife of Robert III de Beauchamp, of Hatch Beauchamp, Somerset, wasn't a Brett at all. Rather, my research indicates she was the daughter and co-heiress of Pain de Dourton, of Dourton, co. Buckingham.

Best always, Douglas Richardson, Salt Lake City, Utah

During the reign of Henry II, Robert de Beauchamp, styled "de Hache," was Sheriff of Somersetshire for several years. Robert died in 1211 according to Collinson's History of Somersetshire, 1791, p. 44.
