• Family Background Information. When Albrey's ccousin, Robert de Lacy, Lord of Pontefract died on June 21, 1193 without a heir, all his Lacy estates went to her. Her childred by Robert de Lisours, including John took the de Lacy name.

• Background Information. 877 Abreda de Lacy was married to Robert de Lissours and they had a daughter also named Albreda. Albreda de Lissours married, 1st to Richard Fitz eustace and 2nd to William Fitz Godric. When Robert de Lacy, last male of his line, died in 1193, Albreda handed over the family estates to her grandson, roger Fitz Dustace who assumed the name de Lacy. ~Picturesque History of Yorkshire, p. 333
