Main, the second, in a charter for the abbey of Marmoutier has the signature of "Mainus de Castro Felicense" appended to the charter of the abbey of Mont St. Michel, concerning the churches of Villamie and Poillie [D. Morice, pars. 1, 396]. He is called "Maino homo militiæ sæculari deditus" in the charter by which he gives Savigni de Marmoutier [ib. 393, 470]

Main was married to Adelaide, who is named in all the five documents her husband's name is found on. She survived both her husband and their son Juthal. It was after their death, her youngest son, Raoul, made a vow to found the priory of Fougères for her.
