Juan de Tafoya Altamirano and his wife Felipa Jagudad de Ulloa may not have even left Mexico City. They also may have, and ended up staying El Paso. Yet, they had three sons who did come to New Mexico after the Reconquest. They were Juan, Cristóbal and Antonio.
