Sir William Molyneux married, as his first wife, Johannah, daughter of Jordan Ellall, Forrester of Werdale, by Alice, his wife, one of the daughters and co-heirs to Thomas de Twenge.

Sir William Molyneux and Johannah Ellall had seven sons:

William, Thomas, Richard, Edward, John, Robert, and Christopher.
