Nicholas Kirby, son of John and Rose inherited their home called Fabdens. He left a will, and he bequeathed to his son a house in the parish of Therfield. Since this property is in his will, but not in his father's, he must have gained this property during his life time either from marriage or purchase. His wife was named Joan, who survived after his death for ten more years and she was buried 19 Jan 1564/5 in the next parish of Thundridge.
