Oldrich succeeded as Duke of Bohemia by disposing his older brother Boslav III. Oldrich's mistress and mother of his two illegitmate children, Bretislav and Vratislav, was named Bozena.

The Chronica Boemorum names (in order) "Udalricus et Iaromir" as two other sons of "secundus Bolezlaus dux" & his wife, specifying that the former was brought up learning German at the court of Emperor Heinrich II [Cosmæ Pragensis Chronica Boemorum I.36, MGH SS IX, p. 58].

The Chronica Boemorum names "Bozena" as the mother of "Braziclau", son of "Oudalricus", and in a later passage records her death in 1052 [Cosmæ Pragensis Chronica Boemorum I.34 and II.13, MGH SS IX, pp. 56 and 75].

Bozena had a relationship with Oldrich Duke of Bohemia, son of Boleslav II "der Fromme" Duc de Bohemia and Hemma. (Oldrich Duke of Bohemia was born in Bohemia and died on 9 Nov 1042 in Bohemia 1019.)
