Humphrey Hill, of Buntingdale, who lived in the reign of Henry V and Henry VI of England (1413-1471), married Agnes, daughter and co-heir of John Bird, and a cousin and heiress of David de Malpas. They had William, his heir, Ralph who married the daughter of Thomas Green of Greene's Norton, and Thomas who married Margaret, daughter of Thomas Wilbraham, of Woodhey, in Cheshire.
