Edward Banastre was the son and heir of Sir Thomas Banastre, K.G. Edward died in 1382, leaving a daughter named Constance who was born in the same year her father died. Edward's grandmother, Pernell, widow of Sir Adam died in 1388, at which time, Agnes, widow of Sir Thomas and mother of Edward, was still living. Constance, daughter of Edward Banastre, married William de Balderston.
