Clement Minor married, first Frances Burcham Willey and second Martha Wellman. He was a Captain in King Phillip's War in 1683. His family settled in New London. He was the ancestor for most of the Miner families that lived in the vicinity of New London and Lyme in pre-Revolutionary days.

Clement Minor was the second son of Thomas and Grace Minor. When his father moved, Clement stayed behind in New London. He received a grant of land near to that of Walter Palmer. In Sep 1669, Clement applied for a house lot next to that of George Chappell. With his father and brothers, he served in King Philip's War in 1676, and as a volunteer, was granted a lot in Voluntown, Connecticut.

Clement is mentioned in records as "Deacon" or "Ensign," but the record of his appointment as ensign has not been found.

In Oct 1692 and again in May 1696, he served as a Deputy for New London in the Connecticut General Court. On 30 Apr 1671, he joined the First Congregational Church at New London.

Clement first married Frances (Burcham) Willey, 6 Nov 1662. She died on 6 Jan 1673. There children were:

• Mary, b. 19 Jan 1665; m. Thomas Leach of New London; d, bef 3 Dec 1706

Joseph, b. 6 Aur 1666; m. first Elizabeth Comstock, second Susanna Turner and third Mary Bushnell; d. 6 Apr 1752, New London

• Clement, b. 6 Oct 1668, New London; d. 8 Apr 1740, New London; m. Martha Mould, 4 Aug 1698

• William. b. 6 Nov 1670, New London; m. Anna Beckwith abt 1693.

Clement married a second time to Martha Wellman, 20 Feb 1673. She died 5 Jul 1681. They had one child:

• Phebe, b. 13 Apr 1679; m. John Stebbins.

Clement Minor died at New London on 8 Nov 1700 and he is buried there in the Old Burying Ground. His grave is marked by a slab bearing the simple inscription: "C.M. 1700"
