William, son of Richard de Balderstone and his wife Agnes, resigned to Sawley, in 1277, all right of pasturage in the monks' woods and enclosed pastures in Suderland. In 1292, on the strength of the agreement as to services due for Balderston made in 1256, he sued Adam de Osbalderston, his mesne lord. William de Balderstone died about the year 1312, with Richard, his son being his executor.
