• Birth. 250
According to the Parral Portuguese Census of 1642 Antonio was born in 1632.

• Background Information. 252
Antonio Jorge de Vera was a resident of the Río Abajo in 1661. He was named as a captain after he died before the Pueblo Revolt of 1689. His wife was Gertrudis Baca, and their known children were Antonio, Anna, wife of Alonso García de Noriega; and Isabel, wife of Atntonio Montaño de Sotomayor.

• Background Information. 498
Antonio's cousin, Manuel Jorge, migrated to New México in 1655 in order to join Antonio. Antonio's niece and daughter of Manuel confessed to Fray Miguel Sacristán in 1656 that she had "observed the Law of Moses, with exquisite rites and ceremonies."

The Franciscans did not related this confession to the office of the Inquisition until five years after Manuel's daughter confessed. This indicates that New México's clergy were tolerant of such cypto-Jewish activities.

Antonio Jorge de Vera stayed in New México and become one of New México's shared ancestors when he married Gertrudis Baca. His cousin Manuel likely moved back to Parral by 1660.
