Alejo Martín was living in Santa Fé in 1701 with his wife, María de la Roche, or Rocha. Soon after that they moved to the Rio Arriba area. He and Captain Sebastián Matín witnessed a wedding officially at La Soledad on 25 Dec 1729, It is probably that the two are brothers because some of Alejo's children used the Martín Serrano de Salazar name.

Alejo married María de la Rocha about 1664 in Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España. (María de la Rocha was born in Sonora, Nueva España and died in Santa Fé, Santa Fé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España.)
