• Background Information. 1509
Juana Gallegos was born in 1710 to Felipe Gallegos and Antonia de Argon. She was baptized 12 Oct 1710 in Bernallillo. She married Juan Montaño, 11 May 1725. Juan Montaño & Juana Gallegos had a daughter, Quiteria, who was baptized in Alburquerque, 20 Jan 1729. In a little over a month later, Juana Gallegos died and was buried on 6 Mar 1729 in Alburquerque.

Since the son of Juan Montaño, Nicolas García is listed as the deceased husand of Quiteria Romero, age 38, in the Census of 1750, he would have been born around 1712. Juana Gallegos, first wife of Juan Montaño, was baptized in 1710 and was only two years old when Nicholas was born. He can therefore not be the son of Juana Gallegos.
