Luisa López Robledo came to New Mexico in 1598 with the Don Juan de Oñate party which started the first Spanish settlement in New Mexico.

Her family were among the Loyalists who stayed in New Mexico.

Lucia married Bartolomé Romero, son of Bartolomé Romero and María de Adeva, about 1596. (Bartolomé Romero was born before 6 Apr 1563 in Corral de Almaguer, España ²⁵⁰, christened on 6 Apr 1563 in Corral de Almaguer, Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, España and died after 1632.)
