bullet  General Notes:

I have yet to find a direct link between "Cléto" Miera and María Manuela Miera y Pacheco. I'm basing this connection on:

Belen Diligencias Matrimoniales [Albuquerque] : Urban Jose Alejo Torres (26), espanol of Los Garcias, Belen parish, son of Joaquin Torres and Isabel Chaves, : and Maria Vibiana Lucero (16), espanola of Alameda, daughter of Juan Antonio Lucero, deceased, and Maria Manuela Miera y Pacheco. - Witnesses: Antonio Estanislao Ruiz, notary; Toribio Garcia Jurado (74) of Los Garcias, Paulin Baca (47) of Los Bacas, Pedro Marquez (52) and Julian Rael (56) of Alameda : 1805 Sept 5 #10, Albuquerque, V10 P1901, CR 248

This shows that Manuela's last name was Miera y Pacheco and that she was from Alameda. Cléto's descendants can be found residing in the Rio Abajo, which his brother Bernardo's descendents can be found in the Rio Arriba area. Also Cléto was the alcalde of Alamenda where Manuela rsided.

Manuela's mother must be María Felipa Tafoya since Manuela's child Bibiana was born 7 years before Cléto married his second wife, María Catarina Piño.

• Background Information. 252
Anacléto Miera y Pacheco was born in Chihuahua around the year 1742. As a member of the Santa Fe garrison in 1790 he gave his age as forty-eight. His wife, Catalina Pino, was thirty-seven, and they had five sons, eighteen, twelve, ten, three, and one, and three girls, fifteen, nine, and six.

He had first married María Felipa Tafoya, 29 May 1768, by whom he had some of the children just enumerated. These were: María Josefa, born 12 Sep 1769; Francisco Xavier, 19 Feb 1772; Teresa Rosalía, 8 Nov 1773; and María de las Nieves, 6 Aug 1776. Of these girls, María Josefa married José Francisco Ortiz, and Teresa became the wife of Antonio Ortiz, both of Santa Fe. María de las Nieves was involved in an affair in the Rio Abajo country in 1805. Their Tafoya mother had died on 9 Apr 1782.

Anacleto then married Catalina Pino, widow of Antonio de Luna, 20 Nov 20, 1782. In 1786, while residing in Santa Fe, as a Sergeant of the Presidio, he was suing Miguel Lucero for property at Tomé that belonged to his wife's Luna children. In 1805 he was Alcalde Mayor of Alameda, but by 1815 Catalina Pino was a widow once more. Of their children, two sons are known: Manuel and Ignacio, who married two sisters on the same day, May 16, 1820. Manuel married María Vibiana Rael, and Ignacio married María Quiteria Rael, daughters of Eusebio Rael and María Tomasa Montoya.
