Henry Farrer, son of Henry, was of Hollinhey in the township of Sowerby and the Parish of Halifax, Yorkshire, England and died sometime before his will was proved on 15 Apr 1586. The name of his wife is unknown. He owned a messuage called Symhouse and land called Hollinghey by surrender of his father on 26 Mar 1539. He is mentioned in his father's will. On 6 Dec 1575, by deed, he settled Symhouse and other property on his younger son William. He had two knwon sons. First, John of Hollinhey who died between 27 Oct 1610, the date of his will and 3 Oct 1611, the date it was proved. John married a woman named Susanna, as mentioned in John's will. His younger son was William, ancestor of Jacob Farrar.
