When Antonia Sedano came to New Mexico with her husband Juan Lorenzo de Medina, she was fourteen, the daughter of Pedro Sedano, and a native of Querétaro. She was described as fair and pockmarked, with a scar on the left eyebrown. Her sister was Josefa Sedano, who married Nicolás Jirón.
