Joseph Nye, son of Peleg, grandson of John and great grandson of Benjamin was born in Sandwich, Massachusetts on 21 Oct 1723 and died there in 1790. His will was dated January 23, 1790 and proved February 9. 1790. He married, 23 Dec 1756, Elizabeth Holmes, of Sandwich who survived him. His will names all of children except his daughter Temperance and she was probably the mother of Phinahas Fish named in the will as his grandson.
