• Death. She was killed by a deranged young man when she was about 73 years old. Juliana Sánchez, her granddaughter, was 5 yrs old at the time.

María married Juan José Sánches, son of Antonio José Sánches and Rosalía Martín, on 24 Nov 1833 in San Antonio de Sandia, Nuevo Méjico, Republica de Méjico.²³⁷ (Juan José Sánches was born in 1808 in Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España.)
